Nite Jewel - Liquid Cool

Released in June 2016 on her own label Gloriette, Liquid Cool marks Nite Jewel’s return after four years, featuring an album entirely written, produced, and performed by Ramona Gonzalez.

The record was created at home, in a walk‑in closet, reflecting her decision to reclaim full creative control after parting ways with a label that pushed her towards a more commercial sound. Liquid Cool fuses lo‑fi electronics, vintage synth pop and contemporary R&B influences into a relaxed yet distinctive sonic identity. Tracks shift between subdued, airy atmospheres (“Nothing But Scenery”, “Was That a Sign”) and more vivid, emotionally charged moments like “Boo Hoo” or “Kiss the Screen”. The album touches on themes of loneliness in a crowded world, disconnection, and the search for authenticity, all without sacrificing melody or subtle hooks. It unfolds gradually, rewards repeated listening, and introduces a Nite Jewel both more confident and true to her artistic vision.
